Four Generations of Bates

Four Generations, left to right: Benjamin "Horace" Bates next to his wife, Louvicie "Victoria" Collier Bates, their daughter, Celia (Bates) Robinson, and Celia's daughter, Marietta (Robinson) Varner holding her son, Don David Varner. Horace was born 31 Dec 1859 in Randolph County, AR, the oldest son of Williston and Nancy Ann Tennesse (Noblin) Bates. He died 21 Feb 1951 in Randolph County and is buried in Sutton Cemetery. Victoria was born 18 June 1863 in Randolph County and died 4 June 1950. She is also buried in Sutton Cemetery.
