Evelyn Pauline (Pene) Preston's birthday party was the occasion for this gathering of the very young in Pocahontas about 1920. The site was the home of Pene's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Preston, as the house in the background (more familiarly known as the Mrs. L.F. Blankenship home now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Cleatus Hart) was built by the J. L. Prestons.
