Victoria Collier, born 18 June, 1863 in Randolph County, died 4 June 1950 there. Victoria was married to Benjamin "Horace" Bates, son of Williston Bates and Nancy Ann Tennessee Noblin, on 28 Dec. 1879 in Randolph County. Horace was born 31 Dec 1859 in Randolph County, and died 21 Feb 1951 there. "Uncle Horace" and "Aunt Vic" had nine children: Williston, Nancy, Jim, Celia, Mary, Tisha, Etta, Elmer, and Edward.
