I have searched everywhere I can think of and haven't been able to find anything about him. She was from Iowa. My grandfather JOHN D SPAIN, was a crown organ and sewing maching salesman and sharecropper. My mother MARY MYRTLE SPAIN, use to accompany him on these trips to demonstrate the organ or sewing machine whichever the case may be. Sometimes they would be gone as long as 2 weeks, until they sold whatever they may have, before returning home. QRYTEXT: I am researching the family Blount/Blunt. An Isaac Blount, who was in the War of 1812 from Williamson Co TN migrated to Randolph Co AK. He had children Isaac, Caswell K, Mahaly Shaver, John E Blount, Logan, and William. Isaac, who migrated to AK may be a brother to my GGGrandfather Reading Blount who migrated to Effingham, IL. QRYTEXT: Confederate service record of John H Craven states that he enlisted in Pocahontas AR on July 27, 1861 in Co C, 5th Arkansas Infantry. He was 27 years old and was a Private. Any information or help would be appreciated. He married Nancy Cole (?) and had 2 children, Son Wm. Henry b. 1858 and daughter, Mary Catherine b. 1860. Some of the other cards list place of enlistment as Gainsville. Thanks, Jan Craven
