SURNAMES: Silverthorn, Tidd, Blackwell
QRYTEXT: I am looking for any info on the following surnames. Queen Easter Silverthorn born Dec.11, 1894 in Michigan; died June 22, 1964; burial Warm Springs Cemetery,Warm Springs,Randolph Co., Arkansas. She was the daughter of George G. Silverthorn and Eva Dacons. Queen married in Tulsa,Tulsa Co., Oklahoma, Harry Rex Tidd, son of Charles and Elizabeth Tidd, who is also buried in Warm Springs Cemetery. According to the little info I have obtained she also married Arthur Edward Blackwell, born Sept. 16, 1918, Warm Springs, Randolph Co., Arkansas; died June 19, 1977; son of James R. and Sarah(Jones)Blackwell; burial Warm Springs Cemetery. Queen may have dropped her first name and used her middle name Easter to avoid akwardness (questions) and confusion. Although "Easter" isn't exactly common either. If anyone can research for a marriage record, obituary, or any other info., PLEASE, PLEASE, email me at SLo5860384@aol.com, I'll gladly reimburse you for expenses. P.S.: I can't find anything in the SS death index on any of these people either. Thanks, Sharon Silverthorn Losson Pekin, Indiana 47165

QRYTEXT: I am trying to get in touch with someone I met online several months ago. She had in her file that James Lonzo Thompson's mom's maiden name was McDaniel. Im trying to find how she determined this--at least if she found documentation to the effect as I believe the McDaniel who married the Thompson was a sister to James McDaniel (father of Sular and others) and possibly a sister to Bige McDaniel. I need to know if the Thompson child listed on the census with Bige McDaniel in 1880 and the one listed on the census with James are sisters to James Lonzo Thompson as James Lonzo Thompson is my great-great grandfather. Thank you for reading this.

EMAIL: andreat6777@hotmail.com< BR> SURNAMES: MCDANIEL THOMPSON
QRYTEXT: Needing help figuring this out. It could be the connection needed for me to go further on my family tree journey. In the 1880 Randolph County census index, Bige McDaniel (31) along with his wife Nancy (28) and children Willie Ann (4), Delila M (2), and Bige (1) have in their household Lucy A. Thompson who is listed as a niece to the head of household and she is thirteen. From what I have learned from others, my great-great-great grandma was a McDaniel before marriage and in the age range to be Bige's older sister. Also next door to Bige is James (Jim) McDaniel--the one whose family is shown on this county's webpage's "In the long ago" picture (it is at the bottom of the page). In that household from the 1880 index is James (33), his wife Louisa E. (25), George T (5), Soula (aka Sular) (2), and with them is Sarah E. Thompson who is listed as a niece. James and Bige have the same birth states and the same birth states for parents and since they are next door to one another--I assume they are brothers. I believe the township each is in is Attica, Arkansas. I have strong family connections on both sides to that community. Anyway, why is Lucy A. Thompson in Bige McDaniel's home and Sarah E. Thompson in James (Jim) McDaniel's home? Oather Thompson who sent in the pic of the above James (Jim) McDaniel's family on the "In the long ago" section of this page was the nephew of my great-grandfather. I think Ed Thompson told who the family members were and he is my great- grandfather's brother. Someone related to the McDaniels' of Pocahontas in this time frame may be able to clear up this mystery. I appreciate any help you can give as it drives me crazy to have the least amount of knowledge of ancestry on the side of my own surname.
