According to Mrs. N. J. Wilbern, who cataloged this cemetery, the land for the cemetery was donated by W. N. Slack and D. J. Pruden, who each gave 1 acre. Several people were buried here before it was officially dedicated in 1892. Cataloged by : Mrs. N.J. Wilbern Directions: Go to Interstate 30 to Alexander Exit. Turn right and go about 1 1/4 of a mile. The Cemetery is near the Children's Colony. The oldest marked grave is that of John H. Pruden.
