From a special edition of the Scott County Advertiser newspaper of 3 April 1991, entitled "A Salute to Scott County Citizens 90 Years and Over." The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 90th anniversary.

ARTHUR BOMAN HAWKINS

Arthur Boman Hawkins was born December 9, 1900 at Parks, and has been a lifelong resident of Scott County. His parents were George and Sarah Hawkins, and he is one of ten children. Arthur and his wife Helen are both residents in the Pinewood Nursing Home. The couple have two children, Harlon Hawkins and Bonnie Hill, both of Parks. Arthur attended school at Parks and Keener, and is a member of the Methodist Church at Parks. Before retirement he was a farmer.
