From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

EARL JONES

Earl Jones was born on July 26, 1894 to Earl and Ruth Jones, at the J.B. Cox place, which adjoins where he now lives. He attended school at Upper Centerpoint and Waldron and has been a farmer and stockman. He lives in Waldron, Route #1, with his wife Mae. He has two children - Kenneth H. Jones of Mena and Bobby G. Jones of Waldron. He recalls that he was never out of the state more than six months at one time.
