From a special edition of the Scott County Advertiser newspaper of 3 April 1991, entitled "A Salute to Scott County Citizens 90 Years and Over." The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 90th anniversary.

ED YOWELL

Ed Yowell was born in Indian Territory November 2, 1900, to Bud and Myrtle Graves Yowell. He attended school in Crawford County, Arkansas at Uniontown School No. 66, and at the Mountain Home school south of Mansfield. He joined the Church of Christ in 1930. He is a World War I Navy veteran, and worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. He married his wife Minnie in 1951. He has 4 stepchildren, Neado Poole and Harriet Holland, both of Van Buren, Mary Smith of Little Rock, and the late Terry Edwards.
