From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

Freda (Grammar) Johnson has lived in Scott County ten years, and the last five years she has been a resident of Pinewood Nursing Home. Mrs. Johnson is 83 years of age. She was born in Milsap, Texas on January 20, 1897 to Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Grammar. She attended what was called Durant Normal College in Durant, Oklahoma. She is a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Johnson was married to the late Oscar Johnson and they have five children - Oscar Johnson of Oklahoma City, Freda Flatt of Ada, Oklahoma, Dorothy Moline of Milsap, Texas, Lurley Green of Fort Worth, Texas and Marian Austin of Waldron. She also has a granddaughter in Waldron - Lynn Marshall.
