From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

IVIS L. BALLARD

Ivis L. Ballard was born in Scott County on February 28, 1901 to Tom and Mollie Ballard and has lived in Scott County all his life. He is married to Attie M. Ballard and they have a son Wesley Ballard of Waldron. He attended schools in Waldron and Union Grove and his church affiliation is Pentecostal Church of God. He has been a farmer, part time, and worked for Southwest Crecosation Pale Co. He recalls traveling to Western Oklahoma in covered wagon and he had a team of mules when he was 6 years old, which was in 1906. In Oklahoma they visited his uncle, Bob Johnson, who was his mother's brother.

From a special edition of the Scott County Advertiser newspaper of 3 April 1991, entitled "A Salute to Scott County Citizens 90 Years and Over." The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 90th anniversary.

IVIS BALLARD

Ivis Ballard was born in Scott County on February 28, 1901 to Thomas J. and Mollie Johnson Ballard. With the exception of two years spent in Wyoming, Ivis has spent his entire life in Scott County. On January 25, 1920 he married Attie May Craig who had been his sweetheart since first grade. Children of the couple are Wesley Leon Ballard of Waldron and T.J. Ballard (deceased.) Ivis attended school at Waldron and Union Grove, and attends the Pentecostal Church of God.
