From a special edition of the Scott County Advertiser newspaper of 3 April 1991, entitled "A Salute to Scott County Citizens 90 Years and Over." The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 90th anniversary.

MRS. MINNIE JONES

Minnie Jones was born January 20, 1898 at Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Dick and Missouri "Shoat" Carnahan. She attended school in Missouri, Oklahoma and New Mexico. In 1918, the Carnahans came to the Square Rock community. It was here she met her husband Henry. She has lived in the Pilot View community near Tate for 58 years. Their children were Price Jones (deceased) and Anna Hawthorne of Waldron. Minnie is a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
