From a special edition of the Scott County Advertiser newspaper of 3 April 1991, entitled "A Salute to Scott County Citizens 90 Years and Over." The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 90th anniversary.

MAGGIE WHITE

Maggie White was born March 2, 1901 in Saline County, Arkansas to Joseph and Elizabeth Davenport. She was raised with four brothers and four sisters. She married William Henry White June 27, 1920, and they lived in and around the Little Rock area before she moved to Waldron in 1982. The couple had 6 children, 5 girls and 1 boy. Still living are: Hattie Layton of Salt Lake City, Utah, Bertha Boothe of Des Moines, Iowa, Marie Bujarski of Waldron and William J. White of Mayflower, Arkansas. Maggie's occupation was homemaker. She enjoys gardening, canning her own vegetables, and working in her flower garden.
