From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.

NEAL M. FROST

Neal M. Frost was born in Clarksville, Arkansas on March 15, 1898 to John L. Frost and Emmaline Bean Frost. He now resides in Waldron. He has been a long time member of the Methodist Church, a Master Mason, a Royal Arch Mason and a 32 degree Mason and also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He served as president and vice president of his Sunday School Class for several years, also serving in other offices of the church. He was the first legally elected mayor of Damascus, Arkansas serving four years. He worked 36 years as shipping and receiving auditor for Ford Motor Co. in Detroit, Michigan. One of his outstanding memories was with Ford Motor Co. and this was seeing the last Model T roll off the assembly line and the first Model A roll off the assembly line. During his years with Ford Motor he saw many different models come and go. After retirement his hobby was refinishing antique furniture until his health prevented it. Some of his work has gone as far as Twin Falls, Idaho and Harrison, Damascus, Clinton, Conway, Forrest City and Hot Springs.
