From a special section of the Waldron News newspaper of 23 April 1981, consisting of interviews of Scott County citizens 80 Years of age and over. The interviews were done as part of a celebration of the Bank of Waldron's 80th anniversary.


Walsie McCravey was born in Boone County, but spent most of her life in Sebastian County until she was admitted to the Pinewood Nursing Home on October 22, 1980. Walsie is 91 and was born to James and Kate Phillips on May 15, 1889. Walsie was first married to the late Marvin Repass and they had ten children, six of whom are still living. Austin and Lloyd Repass and Eva Louise Fuller all of Huntington, Fern Hickerson of Fort Smith, Leon Repass of Long Beach, California and Bill Repass of Lakeside, California. Mrs. McCravey later married the late Mack McCravey. She had three sisters and 2 brothers, all of whom are deceased.
