Affidavit

County of Scott}
On this 21st day of Sept., 1892, before the undersigned Clerk Circuit Court personally appeared Elijah Bishop who being duly sworn says: That he is the identical person who served as an Ex Confederate soldier in Co. "H" 12th Ark. Red River Riflemen. That about the year 1862 at the battle at Corinth, Miss. he received a gun shot wound in left knee. That although the wound dos not pain him severely it hurts him some all the time and that although one would scarcely notice that he limped in walking it troubles him considerable to walk, and that the wound prevents him from performing such manual labor as an able-bodied man could do. That said wound grows no better but continues to trouble and pain him more as he grows older.
That affiant makes this affidavit for the purpose of having his claim reconsidered by "The State Board of Pensions."
