BLACK FORK - PINEY QUILTERS
About 1950

I got this old photo from Eloise (Davis) Stobaugh, a daughter of Charley Davis of Piney. These Black Fork and Piney Quilting Club ladies are:

The younger lady on back row far left according to Eloise, is Lois Byford (married to Billy Byford), then Ida Beaty, then Arvie Campbell, then Edith Janway and Vernice Wiseman.

Middle row far left Byrd Oglesby (holding Gerald), then Vivian (Bid) Lane, Patty (Elizabeth/Bessie)Wiseman, Lavern Beaty holding son Randall.

On front row far left Della Campbell, Martha Richmond, Eunice Gimlin, Frankie Oglesby, Shirley Janway, Ann Wiseman, and Annie Janway.

Eloise said they usually quilted at the Piney Church but this photo was taken at the Byford place. Perhaps this old photo might be a treasure to some doing research on that area...I know it was to me.
