This is a class picture of the school in Boles in 1934. Leonard Aaron Lovett, age 12, is in the front row, 4th from left. All the other people’s names are unknown to me. Leonard was born on February 19, 1922, the son of Alfred Oscar Miles and Bertha (Roseberry) Lovett. His family was very poor. His father made them all work on the place very hard. They weren’t allowed to go to school unless they could keep up their work. At the age of 12 Dad started school. He was very smart and learned quickly and kept up his chores at home too.
