HARWELL CEMETERY

This small cemetery was located off of Highway 23 on Walker Mountain Road in Ione. Information contributed by Cindy McKean. The graves are among lots of brush and trees. There was a rocked area that surrounded about 5 graves. Inside the rocked area were two stones and 3 markers:

W.B. Harwell, died Mar. 26, 1879, aged 46 yrs, 2 m's, 22 d's

Next to W.B. Harwell appeared to be a grave of twin babies but can't be sure. Samuel and ____? Born 1875 died 1875.

Also inside this rocked area were 3 other markers but no names (just small rock markers).

Outside the rocked area was a single grave:
