ELLA C. IVEY
1917-2004
Ella C. Ivey of Eugene died Dec. 15 of age-related causes. Mrs. Ivey was 87. She was born
Feb. 19, 1917, in Cedar Creek, Ark., to Elmer and Ella (Blackwell) Taylor. She married George
C. Ivey on Dec. 10, 1938, in Forrester, Ark. She has lived in Eugene since 1954. Mrs. Ivey was
a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting and flower and vegetable gardening. She is survived by her son,
Jim Ivey of Eugene; sisters Ilnithel Ivey of Springfield and Gloria Kirtch of Eugene; three
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death in February 1993 by her
husband. A funeral was held Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home with burial
to follow at Springfield Memorial Gardens. Springfield Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
