Mansfield High School 1940

MANSFIELD HIGH SCHOOL 1940 GRADUATES

Pictured above is the old high school that was tore down after the 1969 High School was built. Where this old landmark stood is now part of the Mansfield Middle School buildings. Many people think the schools were in Sebastian County, but looking at records, all the schools are in Scott County. Pictured L to R is Vardal Jones and my Dad, Johnnie Brown.

Background above is of the old Mansfield High School gym, which is still in use to this very day. The year was 1940. The men are Verdal Jones and my dad, Johnnie Brown. Notice their varsity sweaters? Both were proud to wear the "M" on their sweaters.
