Following the recent death of my grandmother Mildred FARNSWORTH, I came across a clipping announcing the birth of my g-grandfather Frank Cyrus NEFF. His father was C.W. NEFF (probably Cyrus Worth) and was mentioned in the article as a policeman. However, I don't know if this article came from a Scott County paper or not. Frank Cyrus (aka Cyrus Frank) NEFF was born Feb 14, 1889 in either Dutch Creek or the White River area. Can anyone help me out by looking into records of law enforcement officers in the area in 1889. I would really like to know if C.W. NEFF worked in the area as a policeman, sheriff, or whatever.
