I am looking for information on the PARTAIN & JENKINS families, particularly Martha Ellen PARTAIN (17 Nov 1844 - 4 Mar 1882) who was married to John A. JENKINS. I have found them living in Hickman Township, Scott County, Arkansas in the 1880 census which states Martha was born in North Carolina. The family rumor is that Martha was full-blooded Cherokee Indian, however we have not been able to substantiate that or anything else related to her. John and Martha were my ggg grandparents. Their daughter, Nettie Melinda JENKINS, married Oscar Clayton HUNT. I would really appreciate any help or information.

I am looking for information and old family photos of R.N. MILLARD b. March 30, 1844 d. March 11, 1920. I know his parents were James E. MILLARD b. July 14, 1799 in Sullivan, Tennessee died 1875 in Blue Ball, AR and Edna HERRING b. 1803 in Brownsville, Haywood, Tennessee died March 15, 1864 in Blue Ball, AR. I have a photo of R.N. MILLARD from a Scott County Jurors Group from the early 1900’s. R.N. was my great great grandfather. His daughter Myrtle E. (MILLARD) HALL was born Nov. 29, 1879 and died May 8, 1941. She married Thomas William HALL b. Jan. 25, 1878 d. Sept. 22, 1949. They had my grandmother Mary Salina Eloise (HALL) OWENS b. 1910 d. 1976 Scott Co. Arkansas. I continue to search for any clues connected to the WOLF/E and ANTHONY families of Scott County, Ar. 1860 Census shows the families of T.W. WOLF, Henry WOLF, John WOLF, and William ANTHONY. I believe that Tobias Washington, Henry, John D., and Ann WOLF ANTHONY were all children of Andrew Davis and Lucinda WOLF located on 1840 Johnson County, Ar. Census. A.D. WOLF was dead by 1845. His younger children ended up in the Upshur County area of Texas where Tobias W. WOLF was found in 1850. T.W. WOLF moved his family to Scott County by 1860. That leads me to think that he came there to be near family during the Civil War years when he served in Company I of the 2nd Ar. Mounted Rifles. He returned to Upshur Co., Tx. before 1870 Census. I have not been able to locate Henry and Nancy DODD WOLF after 1860. I did find their eldest daughter, Adeline, as the head of the household in Yell Co., Ar. with the younger siblings. This leads me to believe that the parents died possibly during the Civil War years. I did find the wife of John D. WOLF on 1870 Falls Co., Tx. Census with her younger children. There is a son named George who was born in 1867 in Tx. This leads me to think that John D. and Louisa Wolf moved on to Tx. after the Civil War ended and that John died somewhere between 1866-1870. A niece is found living in the household of William and Ann ANTHONY on 1880 Scott Co. Census named Eliza WOLF. I believe this niece to be the daughter of Henry and Nancy WOLF listed as E.J. on 1860 Census. She is found with her eldest sister on Yell Co. 1870 Census as Jane. I don't know what happened to her after 1880. William ANTHONY died in 1883. I did locate his wife, Ann, as a boarder with Virginia GRIGSBY on 1900 Scott Co. Census and with John DOBBS as a boarder on 1910 Scott Co. Census. Her obit lists her as Grandma ANTHONY. It states that she lived with the John DODD family. Any info on these families would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking to find out what happened to the Samuel DAVIES who was enumerated at age 25 in Black Fork, Scott County, Arkansas in the 1880 census along with his wife Sarrah age 23, and their children Allice DAVIES age 10, James age 5, Tennessee age 3, Jack (possibly Jackson or Jackariah) age 2, and George A (Georgia or Georgette) age 7 months. I believe that Samuel and several of the children may have died and that Sarrah went back to Missouri where she was born and married second Jesse G. MORTON in Dent County, Missouri in 1890. Any help to prove or disprove this theory would be greatly appreciated.

I'm seeking information on my great grandfather, David OLLER. The name is also found as OLLAR, OLER, and other variations. He is listed on the 1870 Scott Co. census in Lafave Township as David OLER, age 21, with wife Margaret, 20, and son John W., two months old. David disappeared from census records and probably had died before 1880 when his wife Margaret is listed on the Scott Co. census in Lafayette Township as the wife of William "Cobb" SWEEDEN, with David's two children, John William OLLER and Matilda OLLER. Does anyone know where David is buried or have any other information about him?
