SCANTLING CEMETERY
The Scantling Cemetery is on what is now known as Government Trail, located in the
SW 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Section 26, Township 4 North, Range 29 West. From Waldron go north
on Highway 71; a sign on the right says "Knobbers Ford, Jack Creek Recreation Area." Go
about 2 3/4 miles down the road. There will be an open parking area on the right side of
the road. Stop here, directly across from area about 100 feet in the woods to the left is
the gravesite.
