Dr. John C. Amis
1859-1914
Dr. John C. Amis, died October 15, 1914, in Fort Smith (Sebastian County), Arkansas. He was the son of the late
Wilkerson and Mary J. (Hopper)Amis.
He was born in 1860(circa)in Flat Lick, Kentucky.
Dr. Amis attended the University of Louisville (Kentucky) and was certified to practice Medicine
on the 19th day of March 1889. He served as president of the Sebastian County Medical Society in 1911.
Dr. Amis had 5 children: William, Annie, Cora, Moss and Dr. James Amis.
