Annie McClellen, 1st wife of Dr. Booth


Dr. John T. Booth was born in 1848 in Fort Smith, Crawford County, Arkansas to Samuel and Martha Booth. Samuel was born in 1814 in County Queens, Ireland and died Aug 27, 1852 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and is buried in Calvary Cemetery. John T's mother Martha Ann McKinney was born in Union Couty, Kentucky and died 1900 in Fort Smith, Sebastian county, Ar. Martha Ann's parents were George Wallace and Hannah Moxley McKinney, both born in Virginia.

Dr. Booth was married three times. The first wife being Annie McClellen of Washington County, Arkansas They were married Jan 1, 1869. Annie died Jun 19, 1872 and is buried in the McClellan Cemtery at Cane Hill, Washington County, Arkansas. The second wife was Elevna A. Haag born May 4, 1854 and died July 22 1884. Her parents were Jno P born in Prussia and Ellen M. born in Florida. Elevina is buried in Calvary Cemtery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The third wife was Mary Amanda Hickman born 1864. She is buried in Oak Cemetery as is Dr. Booth.

Dr Booth and wife Elevna are found on the 1880 census of Marion Township Sebastian County and their daughter Augusta is 11 months old. Dr. Booth and wife Mary Amanda were living at Enterprise, Sebastian County. Dr Booth had three children, Sarah Ann, Agusta Martha and Albert Dunlap. Daughter Sarah Ann is possibly a child by his first wife. Dr. Booth died Mar. 9, 1889.
