Dr. Henry W. Fannin wss born Feburary 18, 1829 in New York (Source: Sebastian County Census-1900) Practiced medicine in the town of Hackett around c1883. The 1900 census shows he was married to a Adaline Watson, who was born c1836 in the Choctaw Nation

Find A Grave - Dr. Henry W. Fannin of Hackett, Arkansas, died in 1904. The 1900 Sebastian County Census showed Dr. Fannin to have been born in New York. He came to Hackett, Arkansas from the state of New York in 1883.
Dr. Fannin was a physician and druggist for the city of Hackett. According to the 1887 Fort Smith "Handbook," Dr. Fannin was: "a gentleman of liberal views and marked public spirit."
There is a discrepency in where he came from. According to the 1887 Business Directory of Fort Smith, Arkansas, it stated he was from Canada. Dr. Fannin graduated from McGill University in Canada and was a charter member of the Arkansas Medical Society in 1875. He was married to Adeline (Watson)Fannin. Mrs. Fannin was born in 1836("Sebastian County Census 1900") and died in 1905. The couple had a son: Dr. Frank A. Fannin.
