Dr. Benjamin B. G. Harrison was born in 28 Jul 1815, in Walkeringham, Bassetlaw District, Nottinghamshire, England. He died 18 Jan 1887 and is buried in Vinita Cemetery, Hackett, Sebastian County, Ark. He was married Nancy Ann Woolard born in 1833 in Indiana and died 1896). Wife Nancy filed for widow's civil war pension.

The 1870 Sebastian County Census shows that Dr. Harrison was a resident of the Marion Township. It also showed those living in the household as: William Horton, Hugh Horton(both of Missouri); Mary Horton(born in Tennessee); Elizabeth and Mary Horton(born in Kansas); Charley and Thomas Harrison (born in Kansas): and Alina Horton (born in Arkansas.) Nothing else is known about this doctor.

Benjamin Gordon Harrison born as stated above, parents being Thomas Harrison Sr. b. 1780 and Ann Dewick b. 1785.

Benjamin's first wife was Esther Ann Bell b. 1814 and d. 1863 in Kansas. From this marriage came Alice Harrison 1844-1908, John George Harrison 1846, and William Dewick Harrison b 1849.

Dr. Harrison married 2nd in Miami County, Ks. Nancy Ann Wollard Horton b. 1833 in Indiana and died in 1896, Children from this marriage were Thomas W Harrison b. 1863, Charles Cromwell Harrison 1866–1901 and Benjamin Albert Harrison 1872–1952.

On the 1870 census Marion Co., Arkansas Benjamin Gordon Harrison is listed as a physician.
