Dr. Randolph D. Swindell

Dr. Randolph D. Swindell, according to the 1850 and 1860 Cole, Sebastian County census, was born about 1831 in Tennessee.

In 1850 R.D. Swindell age 19, is found in Tippah, Mississippi living with Jesse Booth age 32, Lucy Booth age 22 and Joel Booth age 20.

In 1860 he is a physician and living in Cole Township, Sebastian Co., Ar. with the Joel and Nancy Booth family along with Lucy Booth Swindell age 30 born Tennessee and Augustus Swindell age 5 born in Tennessee.

On the Arkansas Wills and Probate Records in Sebastian County it is stated that "R. D. Swindell of Sebastian died intestate as it is said on or about the 15th day of November 1864 in the city of Fort Smith in the state of Arkansas having at the time of his death personal property in this state which may be lost or destroyed or deminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the ??? to the end. Therefore the said property may be collected, preserved and disposed of according to law. We do hereby appoint Lucy Swindell of the county of Sebastian as administrator."
