Dr. Charles William Taliaferro is found on the 1841 Haywood Co., Tenn. Tax Records. In 1850 he is found on the 1850 Hardin County Tenn Census: Taliafero, C W age 31 physician b. Va Josephine C M age 25 b. Ohio John C 9 Tn Sophis L 6 Ala. Isabella 2 Tn. Hardin Co., Tn. and Haywood Co, Tn are neighbors. (There is also a C. P. Taliaferro living in Haywood and born in Va., 2 years age difference with Dr. C. W. / C. P. has an 11 year old son born in Tenn....named Charles In 1850 there is another Dr. Taliaferro in Haywood Co Tn....Garland and he also is a physician b. 1821 in Virginia.Dr. Garland Taliaferro died in Haywood Co., Tn in 1859. The earliest he is shown to be in Haywood is....1841 as was C. W. On the son's death certificate in Texas it says the father's (Dr. Garland) birth place was Amherst Co., Va. To muddy up things....in 1840 there is in Haywood Co Tenn a Benjamin B. Taliaferro who was born....in Amherst, Va. His age is 40-49. On the 1830 census he is in Amherst, Va. ( or a Benjn Taliaferro is shown there). Benj. L. is the father of C. P. Taliaferro. In 1860 Dr. C.
