Son of John Samuel & Mary "Shuler" Woods. Husband of Sarah Alice "Edwards" Woods, married April 28, 1904

Dr. George Gideon Woods was a Family Practioner in Huntington, AR. He attended Mountain View Grade School & graduated from Hackett High School, the University of Arkansas & the University of Arkansas Medical School (1904)

He was the father of Natalie "Phillips" & Dr. William Merle Woods, II.

Dr. Woods did his internship with Dr. John McConnell in Huntington, Arkansas, where he also set up his own practice. He used a horse & buggy until he purchased the 1st automobile used in South Sebastian County (called a Humpmobile).

Dr. Woods delivered over 3000 babies in 40+ years of medical practice. Dr. Woods was a Master Mason & was the City Health Officer of Huntington.
