Morgan Calvin was born July 20, 1839 at Athens, Monroe, Tenn. to Newel Clarence & Lucinda Fry. He enlisted in the 1st ARKANSAS INFANTRY Union Army, Company I, and served during the Civil War. The muster cards below indicate he served in the Confedrate Army before that in 1862.

September 26, 1867 he married Elizabeth Jane Redding. They are listed on the 1870 Washburn, Sebastian Co., Ar. census, 0n the 1880 Bates Twsp., Sebastian Co and on the 1900 Eagle Twsp., Sebastian. By 1910, still in Eagle Twsp., he is a widower.

Morgan Calvin Fry passed away October 6, 1911 in Washburn, Sebastian Co., Ar. He is buried in Mount Harmony Cemetery at Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar.
