Martin VanBuren Rust was born in 1839 in Weakley Co., Tennessee
to Lemuel W. & Nancy Kimhall Rust. His 1st wife was
Lucy Ann Gregory. She died in 1917. His second wife was
Elsie Catherine Bridges. She passed away January 6, 1872. He
lived in Center and Prairie Twsps in Sebastian Co., Ar.
September 10, 1863 Martin enlisted in the Union Army at
Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. He mustered in the
1st Ark. Infantry Co. F. Some of his muster records are below.
Martin passed away in Cowlington, Oklahoma June 25, 1914.
His burial was in Old Cashe Cemeterry in Haskel Co., Okla.
