C, 12 Regiment Arkansas Volunteers Submitted by Lavaca Historical Museum Andrew Monroe Seward was born in 1840 in Itawamba Co, Mississippi.to Claiborn Faulkner & elizabeth McClellan Seward. 1865 he married Faithy Ann E. Brown at Hope, Hempstead Co., Ar. She passed away in 1873. 1874 he was residing in Big Creek, Sebastian Co., Ar. His second marriage was to Elizabeth J. Keith July 19, 1874 in Sebastian Co., Ar. Andrew enlisted in the Confederate Army at Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He served with Co. C 12th Infantry. Another record shows he served in Co F, 6th Infantry. His rank was Pct. Andrew passed away January 19, 1875 in Bloomer, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in the Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, Sebastian Co. Ar.
