Carrol Dayton Chapman was born September 19, 1932 at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Perry John & Maude Melissa Floyd Chapman. August 20, 1955 he married Mildred Cecelia Fink in Jackson, Kansas City, Missouri.

Carrol served with the US Air Force in both the Korean War and Vietnam. His final rank was Tec Sgt.

Carroll passed away March 22, 2013 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Carrol D. Chapman, 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013 in a local nursing home. He was born in Lavaca, AR to Perry and Maude (Floyd) Chapman.

He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in both Korea and Vietnam. He later went on to work in the Civil Engineering department at Fort Chaffee as an electronic technician. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Chapman.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his five sons, David Chapman of Fort Smith, AR, Kevin and Brian Chapman, both of Orlando, FL, Ron Chapman of Fort Smith, AR and Derek Chapman of Wichita, KS; a sister, Lena Manness of Lavaca, AR; a brother, Paul Chapman of Springdale, AR and three grandchildren.
