Curtis Allen Gipson was born January 24, 1931 White Oak Twsp., Sebastian Co., Ar. to Joseph Merle & Florence E. Bumpass Gipson. February 21, 1954 he married Betty Dean Moore from Barber, Logan Co., Ar. His residence at that time was Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Curtis enlisted in the US Army February 19, 1951 and served until February 21, 1953. He served in Germany and not Korea during that time. Nothing more is known about his time in the service.

November 5, 1999 Curtis Allen Gipson passed away in Ola,Yell Co., Ar. His burial was in Dawson Memorial Cemetery at Milltown, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Allen Gipson, 68, of Huntington, Ark. died Friday Nov. 5, 1999 in a Ola, Ark., nursing home. He was a retired glass contractor and Veteran of the U. S. Army and Korean War.

Survivors include three daughters, Debra Gipson of Fort Smith, Ark., Pat Treadwell of Ola, Judy Glover of Fort Smith; three sons, David Gipson of Huntington, Ark., Michael Gipson of Mansfield, Ark., Danny Gipson of Huntington, Ark.; two sisters, Patricia Gipson of Tennessee, Ruth Gross of Spring, Texas; two brothers, Alfred Gipson of Palestine, Texas, Harlan Gipson of Kentucky; 18 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Nov. 8, 1999 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown, Ark. under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

Pallbearers were family members.
