James Ray Peters 1898 - 1918 James Ray Peters was born April 17, 1896 at Mountainburg, Crawford Co., Ar. to Green Virgil & Laura Jane Boling Peters. James enlisted in the US Army. He served in France. He was wounded once prior to the the fatal wound. HIs rank was Cpl. Nothing more is known about his service. James died of wounds received a second time in battle October 12, 1819. His burial was in the National Cemetery at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar.
