She married John Clayton Joyner June 3, 1948 in Sebastian Co., Arkansas. Ellen served in the US Navy Waves in WWII, No dates for her service have been found. Ms. Joyner was 91 years old. She was a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church; a retired Instructor for University of Arkansas; and a Navy veteran of WWII. Ms Joyner is survived by 1 nephew: John Bailey of Greenwood, Arkansas; 1 niece: Joan Oliver of Greenwood, Arkansas; 1 sister-in-law: Waylon Bailey of Greenwood, Arkansas; and a dear friend and devoted caretaker: Ms. Betty Inaman. Funeral Service will be 10 am Friday, July 18 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel of Greenwood with burial at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery. Funeral services were held on Friday morning, July 18, 2014, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas.
