Jerry Herbert Bass was born Oct 22, 1921 in Ft. Smith, Ar. to Herbert Clyde & Irma Lucille Williams Bass. Jerry was a graduate of Fort Smith High School. Jerr y married Mary Helen Hinnant before 1944. 2Lt Bass enlisted in the Army 6 Jan 1941. The branch was Medical Department. He came from the National Guard. 2Lt. Bass died Aug 1, 1943 when his WWII Flight Training Plane went down in the Gulf of Mexico near Sarasota FL.
