Samuel Paul Caperton was born August 22, 1925 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to
Samuel Seborn & Anna Belle Martindale Caperton. November 2, 1946 he married
Dorothy Dean Ingram, both residents of Fort Smith.
May 11, 1943 Sam enlited in the US Army at Little Rock, Arkansas. May 18 is the official day
he entered active military duty. On his enlistment he says he has completed 4 years of high
school and his civil occupatian was Carpenter. His Army rank was Ssgt. Sam served until December 8, 1945.
Samuel Paul Caperton passed awayy June 14, 1996 at Fort Smith. His burial was in the
Fort Smith National Cemetery.
