Samuel "Sam" Dodds was born August 16, 1912 in Bonanza, Sebastian Co., Ar. to James Sr. & Susan Emmaline Maxwell Dodds. James was born in England. On the 1950 census it shows that Sam had been married and he is living in Los Angeles, Ca. His occuption was motorman in the sewer construction business. No spouse was found for Sam. October 24, 1942 Sam enlisted in the US Army and served until November 1948. He earned the rank of Sergeant 1st Class. Nothing more has been found aboout his service. Sam Dodds passed away November 11, 1978 in Torrance, Los Angeles County, Calif. His burial was in the White Bluff Cemetery in Sebastian Co., Ar.
