Thomas Edward Douglas was born February 4, 1911 in Greenwood, Sebastian Co., Ar. to James B. & Elizabeth Ann Williams Douglas. On May 24, 1960 in Sebastian Co., Ar. he married Freda Mae Black from Heavener, LeFlore Co., Oklahoma.

Thomas enlisted in the US Army January 6, 1941 and served until February 8, 1946, His grave marker says he also served in Korea but I have found no dates for that. Another record gives the start date for his service Januatry 31, 1942 and the end date as June 30, 1952. This seems to fit better than the first record. His final rank was colonel.

Col. Thomas Edward Douglas passed away January 31, 1966 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and is buried in the Fort Smith National Cemetery there.
