Kenneth Earl Durden was born February 12, 1918 at Greenwood, Center Twsp., Sebastian Co., Ar. to John Joseph & Mattie Rogers Durden. On August 26, 1936 Kenneth married Evelyn Francis Armstrong at Fort Smith, Ar. both being residents there. Kenneth registered for the military draft October 16, 1940 at Belle Grove School in Fort Smith, Arkansas. On November 4, 1943 he enlisted in the US Army. He served as a Pfc. until January 23, 1946, returning to Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. where he spent the rest of his life. Kenneth Earl Durden passed away April 26, 1986 is buried at the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ar.
