Sidney Lee Elston was born June 10, 1911 in Kendall, Hamilton Co., Kansas to John Clark & Eva R. McClintock Elston. No date is found for his marriage to Nora Loucinda Stallings of Fort Smirh, Sebastian Co., Ar. They are found on the 1950 census together.

No enlistment record is found for Sidney in the Air Corps but he is lisred on the 1940 census at Bexar, Texas at "53rd School Squadron Air Corps Randolph Field", later Randolph Air Force base, located at Universal City, Texas 14.8 miles east-northeast of Downtown San Antonio, Texas. They later merged with Lackland Air Force Base. According to the census he was a "Mess Sgt for the Squadran Mess. He had completed 1 year of high school.

On an enlistment record dated October 26, 1945 it says he is residing at Tulsa, Okla. and he is again enlising, the Branch being Detached Enlisted Mens List. The Source is "National Guard in Federal Service, within 3 months of Discharge." He is single without dependents. This enlistment of October 26, 1945 ended September 30, 1949.

Sidney Lee Elston passed away July 16, 1975 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and was buried in the National Cemetery there.
