Jesse Lee Jennings was born December 19, 1919 in Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Marion Franklin & Viola Bond Jennings. Jesse Lee married Bonnie Mae Taylor from Hazen, Prairie Co., Ar. The marriage took place in Hazen, Ar. Jesse's residence at that time was Camarillo, Ventura, California. Jessie enlisted in the US Navy December 2, 1941. He was assigned to the USS Saratoga which he served on for his time in the WWII Navy. He was discharged September 29, 1945. Some of the muster rolls for the Saratoga are below showing date & rank. His earliest rank shown was Fireman 1st Class. Jessie Lee Jennings passed away August 27, 1983 in Cypress, Orange Co., California. he us buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California.
