Woodrow Wilson Lewis was born 27 Feb 1914 in Mansfield, Scott Co., Ar. to Thomas Charles & Ola Dell Cowan Lewis. Jun 17, 1939 Woodrow married Mary Kathryn Efurd in Mansfield, Sebastian Co., Ar.

Woodrow enlisted in the US military 11 Jan 1944 at Little Rock, Arkansas. He is married, a farm hand, lives in Sebastian Co., Ar. and has a grammer school education.

"PFC Woodrow entered the army 2 Feb 1944 and took basic training at Camp Walters TX. His military career was short; he sailed for overseas 29 Jun 1944 and trained for three weeks in Naples, Italy. He entered combat with the 36th Division, Seventh Army on 9 Sep 1944, and was reported missing in action 20 Dec that year. He was declared dead 20 Jan 1945.
