Frances Liotta
1920-2012


Frances Liotta was born May 29, 1920 in Cheyenne, Laramie County, Wyoming to Tomasso & Evelyna Raby Liotta. Her father Tomasso was born in Siclly, Italy. Her mother in Oklahoma. Their marriage was in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. The family was living in Sebastian Co. again in the 1930s. His occupation was "house to house salesman". On an earlier record he was a "waiter".

Frances enlisted in the WACs, Womeens Army Corps, as a Private January 24, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma although her place of residenice was Sebastian Co., Ar. She states she has a grammar school education. Her last rank was Sgt. Nothing more is known about her service. Her obit below has more details.

June 16, 2012 Frances Liotta passed away in Tulsa, Tulsa Co., Oklahoma. Her butrial was at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa.

Frances Liotta was a true patriot. She was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean Conflict serving in the WAC.

She was born May 29, 1920 in Cheyenne, WY to Tom & Evelyna Liotta. She had many brothers and sisters, 3 of which are still living; Evelyna Larson, Eva Jeanette Taylor and Anthony Liotta. She is also survived by a large family of nieces, nephews, cousins and many loving friends she had made through the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 6 brothers and sisters, John, Sam, Tom, Nancy, Vincent and Joseph.

Frances would have greatly appreciated donations in her memory be made to the Liotta Family Scholarship Fund for Excellence set up at St. Pius X Catholic Church.
