Phillip Arthur Moore was born December 21, 1911 in Surveyor, Clearfield Co., Pa. to James A. & Maey Janes Ward Moore. He marrid Zella Margarette Hepler June 23, 1943 at Mahoning Co., Ohio. On June 27, 1942 he married Joyce Jo Taft from Barling. Sebastian Co., Ar. His residence was Youngsrown, Mahoning Co., Ohio at that time. Phillip registered for the military draft October 16, 1940 at Youngstown, Mahoning, Ohio. He enlisted in the US Army 8 Feb 1946 at Camp Atterbury Columbus, Indiana. I'm not sure this was his first enlistement as his rank was listed as Corporal on his enlistment. He again enlisted March 10, 1955 and served until August 30, 1962. (Altough his marker says he served in WWII and Korea he also served in Vietnam which began in 1961) Phillip passed away August 10, 1969 at Lavaca, Sebastian Co., Ar. His burial was in Oak Valley Cemetery at Lavaca.
