Roy Eugene Parson was born February 27, 1925 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. to Roy Edward & Hazel M. Ellsworth Parsons. Roy married Virginia Faye Franklin but no record of that marriage was found. Roy registered for the military draft December 6, 1945 at the County Court House in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co. Ar. He enlisted with the US Navy January 8, 1943. His rank was as a Mn2 = "MINEMAN 2ND CLASS PETTY OFFICER". His discharge date was November 27, 1945. Roy Eugene Parsons passed away June 18, 1998 in Fort Smith, Ar. and is buried in the Forest Park Cemetery there.
