James Miller Pinkerton

James Miller Pinkerton was born May 4, 1926 in Massard, Sebastian Co., Ar. according to his draft registration card, to John Andrew & Maude Belle Brookshire Pinkerton. Miller passed away in Artesia, Eddy County, New Mexico on 23 May 1976 and is buried at Woodbine Cemetery at Artesia, Eddy County, New Mexico. The only other Pinkerton buried in that cemetery is Letha Pierce Pinkerton who was born 1926 and died in 1987, aged 60-61. They had a daughter who was buried there, Octavia A. Pinkerton Wallace Her obits gives her mothers maiden name and says Octavia was born Sept 22, 1952 in Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. and it lists her brothers....Jim Pinkerton of Searchlight, Nevada, John Pinkerton of Artesia, Pat Pinkerton of Artesia, and Phillip Pinkerton of Artesia.

Miller registered for the miitary draft June 30, 1942 at Fort Smith, Sebastian Co., Ar. Nothing more is known about his time in the service, although he did serve as you can see for the "Hon Disc" at the top of his draft card.
